Experiential working place

I believe there is a relationship between employees’ satisfaction and their working place.  The organization should consider the impact of the interior design, based on the physical and psychological.  Although most of the designers think about the functional and aesthetic sides of the spaces, it is advisable to explore the design effect to the people who will stay in those places.

The engagement of employees in their jobs will be better when they experience a feel-at-home situation.  Office is the second home for them.  By having a supportive physical working environment, it is expected that they will be more productive in handling their daily jobs.

One way to make them engage is to think about the experiential working place environment.  Based on Schmitt (1999), the experience modules are sense, feel, think, act, and relate.  Although this literature is more into marketing, it can be related to working place too.  I am about to doing research about this matter.
